Birch Street, Broomfield, Colorado

Hello and welcome to pretty Broomfield, Colorado today, and what will be a European-inspired retreat.  I'm suggesting some big changes, but it will be worth it when you see what this house can become.

We're adding some elegance to this home, and we're dreaming big.  Let's start with that lovely barrel ceiling and arched doors, and the rest of the house will fall in line from there.

To the left of the foyer is the kitchen, and while I don't want to open it up to the foyer, I do want to widen the arch and open it up to the family & dining room.

Something like this would be appropriate.  Here's a close-up of both kitchens, so you get a sense of the layout:

Now for the family room it opens up to:

I like the design from Thompson Custom Builders above, but I want to borrow a little glamour from Ginger's fantastic design.  Specifically, the three chandeliers and the mirrors between the windows.  Wouldn't that make a beautiful view from the front door?

As for the bathroom,

it needs to be a little more like this:

Now that's something like.  Let's bring a little of that European glamour into the bedroom, too.

Ok, these ceilings appear taller than ours- please adjust your chandelier scale accordingly.  That fabulous bed reminds me of the Annie Selke bed that I showed in this post.

In the right hands, this house could really become a showpiece.  Thanks for reading!
