Nelson Drive, Florence, Alabama

"I'm going down to Florence, gonna wear a pretty dress. I'll sit atop the magic wall with the voices in my head." - Rosanne Cash "A Feather's Not a Bird".

The magic wall in the song refers to Tom's Wall in Florence, Alabama, built next to the Tennessee River as a memorial to his Native American great great grandmother.  Artists and musicians refer to it as the magic wall, because legend has it when you stand next to the wall, the river sings.

On my virtual visit to Florence, I got a tiny taste of that creative inspiration when I found this living room:

...to pair with graciously elegant inspiration room:

Even without that stunning ceiling, this is the room equivalent of a pretty dress. It also echoes the colors of Cypress Creek within view of our listing house.

It may not be the Tennessee River, but this area definitely has its own little touch of magic.
