Holmwood Road, Fendalton, New Zealand



It's June-- winter in New Zealand. Orchids and cyclamen are the featured blooms at the Christchurch Botanical Garden. At sunset the sky takes on a coral glow. 


There are 20 different gardens all within 20 minutes of our featured house in Fendalton (a suburb of Christchurch), New Zealand... including the Heritage Rose Garden... 


...Daffodil Woodland...


 and the Azalea and Magnolia Garden:


It's little wonder then, that our featured house has a little botanical motif that's just part of its 1930's charm. 


The living room in this 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2,475 square feet (or 230 square meters) home also has plenty of that 1930's charm. Here's how it looked in 2016:

Holmwood Road was developed in the 1920's, and became one of the city's premier addresses. It's easy to see why, 100 years later, it's still a pretty attractive place to live.
