Lower Shore Drive, Harbor Springs, Michigan

This Labor Day weekend, let's send summer out in style. In 10,555 square feet of style, to be exact, on the shores of Lake Michigan.

When I say on the shores of Lake Michigan, I mean right on the the shores of Lake Michigan. (And the price tag reflects it):

I give the pictures descriptive tags to organize them when I import them to my blog. I called that one LowerShoreisrightonthebeach.

This house in Harbor Springs, Michigan was newly built this year. If you thought there was a shortage of materials because of the pandemic, it proves otherwise.

One of those doors is for an elevator.

I tagged this picture LowerShoreICYMI:

In case you missed it, "it" is a gorgeous La Cornue range, just like this one. It's not a stove; it's a range. (I read recently that Joanna Gaines is encouraged to correctly refer to hers as a range on her cooking show, and has to keep reminding herself to do it.)

The house offers multiple bar areas, which might slow down your guests on your house tours.

The bed in the master suite looks like it's the Beauvier French cane bed from Frontage.

The La Cornue range and Beauvier bed weren't the only things I recognized. (Am I spending too much time looking at pretty things online? I think yes.) This upstairs bedroom has the Serena & Lily Harbour Cane bed. Perfect for Harbor Springs.

If it were mine, I'd gussy up this bedroom like so:

The bed also has matching nightstands that are attractive, and not just to very cute kitties:

This is the adjoining bathroom:

There are 6 bedrooms in total, and 8 bathrooms (6 full and 2 half.)

Time for another pause on the tour. I labeled this one LowerShorebarbed:

This bedroom has Serena & Lily's Webster bed. I think it's my favorite room, but that's a hard call.

I wish I knew where these campaign dressers in this bedroom are from, but I don't know yet. Maybe that's my weekend project.

Most of the bedrooms have balconies like this one, with views of the lake:

There's an upstairs laundry room...

...and a second laundry room that only lacks another bar fridge:

The mudroom is equally impressive:

There's no bar in here either, but there are double ovens so that it can serve as a catering kitchen.

Here is the house's rear elevation that faces the lake:

This weekend, let's all appreciate a last glimpse of this...

...because before we know it, it will look this:

The listing is here. A video tour with closeups of the house's pretty details and finishes is here.
