Grindstone Ridge Road, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

In a little tribute to Dolly Parton, this post's property is in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. These vacation rental cabins for sale are a little over the top, but if anyone appreciated something being over the top, it was Dolly.

These cabins are snug in the woods of the Smokies, about 20 minutes from Dollywood or from Gatlinburg. They're surrounded by other vacation cabins with names like Havens on the Ridge, Caney Creek Cabins, and Honey Bear Hideaway.

This is Wonderland in the Smokies:

Right next door is Hanky Panky Getaway:

Let's start with Wonderland in the Smokies:

Right off the bat you'll feel that you've entered wonderland with the oversized outdoor chess set...

and geodesic tent with its plush purple bed. They can be yours -- the property is sold fully furnished.

The cabins have been recently improved with new flooring and updated kitchens and bathrooms. They were built in 2003.

Right away you know you're not in Kansas any more. You've stepped through the looking glass into Alice's Wonderland.

It's a cute and clever way to stand out from the other cabins, and while I appreciate a good theme...

if it were mine on a daily basis, it would end up looking more like this, below:

This is the designer room that I started with:

I combined the rooms with AI. I told it to keep the room's existing architecture, but to update the appearance of the fireplace. I also had it replace the furnishings with the equivalents from the inspiration picture. (Thank you to Margaret for suggesting I clearly label what's real and what isn't. It's becoming so hard to tell. My photoshop skills look like a kindergartner's work compared to AI images.)

The green palette and country vibe in my suggested photo would go well with the existing kitchen:

This cabin has one bedroom and two bathrooms in 702 square feet.

The king-sized bed and second bathroom are upstairs:

The jacuzzi tub and hot tub are fun amenities.

The property includes a second cabin. Tennessee real estate guidelines require them to be sold together because they have the same septic system, well, and shared driveway.

This is Hanky Panky Getaway. Fun fact, it used to be called Rollin' in the Hay. (Don't worry, it's tastefully furnished... although I did see that the listing includes a vending machine.)

Hanky Panky is an open-concept 688 square feet space, with one bathroom.

The listing says that the cabins "can accommodate 6-8 guests, when rented together or individually." That sounds a little too close for comfort for me -- that would make for a memorable vacation for sure!

The listing is here. Bonus-- Dolly's former California cottage in Solvang (I featured here and here) is also for sale. That listing is here.
