Wow moments -- in my house that usually means reading the expiration date of something Mr. If It Were Mine bought, tucked far back in the pantry, and promptly forgot about. In this 1929 Tudor mansion, wow moments mean something else entirely.

They start with the stone and brick pillars at the curving front walkway.

They echo the shape of a towering blue spruce.

Let me just skip ahead to show you the second floor ceiling:

It's the house's biggest wow moment, and it calls for a more impressive chandelier, so...

I swapped in the burnished gold Flora fixture that echoes the design in the dome.

Now let's go back to the beginning.

The spiral staircase is made of black walnut, but the walls are a little too vanilla.

I pasted in this mural paper from Anne Harris Studio just to add a little spice:

That leads us to the room directly across from the front door...

It's a pretty little sitting room that overlooks the garden:

If it were mine, I'd bring in some of that floral drama:

I also found "wow moment" inspiration for both the breakfast room and the sunporch:

The rest of the rooms already have their wow elements:

Upstairs are five bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. The house has 6,399 square feet.

The spacious lower level features a wine room.

Outside amenities include a pool, greenhouse, and beautifully landscaped grounds.
