If It Were Mini: Ted Lasso's Home Above the Pub

Ted Lasso's new apartment over The Crown and Anchor pub might just be the breakout star of season 4. It had me at hello with its unusual and zingy color scheme: eggplant purple cabinets against warm brown walls with an old chalky black fireplace and pops of green accessories.

In real life the pub is named The Prince's Head, and it really is in the London town of Richmond, where the show is set. The upstairs actually did become someone's apartment -- but only for four nights. As a promotional stunt for season 3, the pub became an Airbnb for lucky super fans.

Here's what the pub looks like in real life:

They have a booth dedicated to the show and autographed photos of the cast on display.

For the Airbnb promo, the upstairs looked like this:

The "believe" sign is one of Coach Ted's motivational tools that ends up serving as sort of the heart of the show.

The TV version of the pub is a little bit more colorful and much more well-lit than the real version:

Here are my screen grabs of the upstairs:

And....here's how my mini version turned out:

I was so tickled to find a curved-front dresser for the TV!

The greyhound on the mantel is my little tribute to Ted's team.

Some of the furniture was easy to source, but I ended up making quite a few things.

I made the globe light fixture from a bead and earring pieces and it has miraculously stayed in that position.

I didn't like how pink Ted's island looked with the purple cabinets, so my version is more lilac instead.

The squirrel below is giving us the side-eye because upon closer look...

There's a taxidermy squirrel in a case on the dresser. I had to make it, of course.

I also (obviously) made the glass and copper shelving unit and the mushroom lamp. The lamp is a spoon, pill capsule, and grommet.

The squirrel was a little easier to make, once I found the right stickers.

Here's how the project looked when I first started. I used the dresser to figure out the scale, as well as continuously comparing Jason Sudeikis' height (6'1") to the furnishings around him.
