Muhlig Road, Liberty, New York

This circa 1900 upstate New York farmhouse looks like a feature straight out of Country Living magazine. It feels even more vintage than its vintage.

That's due in part to the designer duo Jersey Ice Cream Co. The listing mentions that they re-did the kitchen, and I suspect they had a hand in the other rooms as well.

Architectural Digest calls their look "weathered-modern." This house has old beams and exposed bricks next to simple, clean-lined furniture.

One of the front living rooms is cozy and dark...

while the other is light and bright:

The dining area tucks nicely between the living room and kitchen:

The sink is from DeVol Kitchens.

The laundry room is at one end of the kitchen, while the back staircase is at the other.

The layout of the house is a bit confusing, but there's an office tucked here on the second floor.

It looks a little plain vanilla compared to the Jersey Ice Cream kitchen. If it were mine, I would turn its flavor up a notch, like this:
Even further up the stairs is a secret hatch door which accesses the master suite:

I'm guessing the other two bedrooms are accessed from the main staircase by the front door.

Had to include the picture with the cute kitty cat:

There's also a bonus area and a bathroom tucked under the eaves. The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms in 3,040 square feet.

The farmhouse is on fourteen and a half picturesque acres set off with a weathered-modern barn.

The house and barn both have new roofs and siding.

It's all ready to host events, so...

I imagine it could easily look like this (borrowing some of those mirrors from the master bathroom):

In the meantime, just like the house, it's all set up for showings:

This house definitely looks like something pictured in a magazine...or maybe a pretty vintage postcard.
